Acceptable Use Policy

Acceptable Use Policy

Last updated: July 2026.

This Acceptable Use Policy ("AUP") forms part of the Terms of Service and applies to anyone who accesses Lumen BI. By using the Service you agree to comply with this AUP. Violations may result in content removal, throttling, suspension, or termination, and where appropriate, referral to law enforcement.

1. Prohibited content

You must not upload, generate, distribute, or store content that:

  • is illegal in any jurisdiction where it is processed;
  • infringes intellectual property, trademark, or publicity rights;
  • contains child sexual abuse material, terrorist content, or content inciting violence;
  • contains malware, viruses, ransomware, or other harmful code;
  • contains personal data you are not lawfully entitled to process;
  • contains regulated data (PCI, PHI, financial account credentials) unless you have entered into a separate written agreement with us covering that data type.

2. Prohibited activities

You must not, and must not allow any third party to:

  • reverse engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract source code from the Service, except to the limited extent applicable law expressly permits;
  • scrape, crawl, or harvest data from the Service or its interfaces using automated means without our prior written consent;
  • resell, sublicense, or provide the Service to third parties as a standalone offering;
  • share account credentials or use a single user seat for multiple individuals;
  • impersonate any person or entity, or misrepresent your affiliation;
  • circumvent rate limits, usage limits, plan gates, billing controls, watermarks, audit logging, or any other technical restriction;
  • use the Service to build or train a competing product, model, or dataset;
  • attempt to gain unauthorized access to other tenants' data, infrastructure, or accounts;
  • introduce excessive load, perform denial-of-service attacks, or operate automated agents that materially degrade Service quality for others.

3. Fair-use and resource consumption

Plan limits represent the typical usage envelope for that plan. We may apply technical throttles, soft caps, or temporary restrictions to AI calls, file uploads, scheduled jobs, and connector traffic in order to protect platform stability and other customers. We will contact you before enforcing material restrictions on legitimate, paid usage.

4. Fraud, chargebacks, and abuse

Submitting fraudulent payment information, initiating chargebacks for properly billed subscriptions without first contacting support@lumenbi.app, creating multiple accounts to evade limits, or abusing free trials may result in immediate termination of all related accounts and a permanent ban.

5. Security disclosure

If you discover a security vulnerability, please report it responsibly to support@lumenbi.app. Do not publicly disclose the issue or exploit it beyond what is necessary to demonstrate the vulnerability. We commit not to pursue legal action against good-faith researchers who comply with this policy.

6. Enforcement

We may investigate suspected violations and take any action we believe reasonable, including removing content, suspending features, suspending or terminating accounts, notifying affected parties, and cooperating with law enforcement. We aim to give notice and an opportunity to remediate, except where doing so would harm users, the Service, or third parties.
